Dunalastair Hotel Suites reviews
- 6.5Good hotel but...
Location was brilliant, hotel was clean and comfy, no alcahol was served to us and also had few halal food options. Staff were very friendly.
- 9.2Friendly Staff, stunning location
The original setting high standards of quality and comfort and the helpfulness, courteous staff and eager problem solving made it a pleasure to stay there. The rooms were comfortable, there was a slight problem with our first room but it was immediately and very naturally resolved with minimal effort kn my part.
They were quite busy that weekend but I was never made to feel that they didn't have time for us.
Dinner was great alhumdulillah lots of halal options, shame the RibEye Steak wasn't but amazing monkfish and Parmalat chips was something else!
Overall great atmosphere, if you want ra city break with local amenities, shops, cafes restaurants in the area, then this isn't for you unless you want to do the 30 minute drive to the main town.
For a relaxing and breathtaking time away in comfort, would definitely recommend.
- 9.4One of a kind, Halal hotel
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, room amenities are top end (Lota, Quran + prayer mat provided, kitchen facilities, glass cutlery, water bottles, White Company toiletries). A brilliant location
- 9.3Highland adventure
Loved the personal service
- 9.5Perfect for an anniversary getaway
Great care was taken to prepare our room as the hotel were made aware that it was a celebration of an anniversary. There was a lovely dessert in our fridge to celebrate and a thoughtful towel arrangement with rose petals in the room too which was incredibly considerate. The reception staff were so kind and cheerful and ready to have a chat at all times and the atmosphere was so much more intimate than a boring mainstream hotel chain. The setting speaks for itself, it's a stunning location with lots to see on little or long walks in different directions for walkers of different ages/experience etc. The room itself was ready with top end toiletries, fresh milk and biscuits baked on-site which were delicious by the way! Extra thought was given to our lifestyle and preferences including the addition of a comfy, padded prayer mat and Qur'an in the room as well as a bathroom (istinja) jug for our convenience. The meals served at the Monadh restaurant were very tasty and clearly well prepared with great ingredients. No corners were cut and the home made ice cream was probably the best I've ever had. You do pay a premium for the food but the level of care is worth it.
